After breakfast in the morning, you will leave Yangon and take a flight to Bagan. Bagan is famous for its historical monuments, and houses around 2000 temples and pagodas from different periods. You will visit the Nyaung Oo Market, the authentic local market where local people buy foods and daily necessities. Then visit the Shwezigon Pagoda, which is gold plated and is one of the oldest and most impressive monuments in Bagan. After having a rest in the hotel in the afternoon, you will enjoy a Horse Cart Ride to enjoy the sunset. Travelling through the pagodas in the quiet of dusk, you will feel the the tranquility and peace of the Bagan city. Stay overnight in Bagan.

Today, you will have an excursion to Mount Popa, a dormant volcano with many Nat temples and relic sites atop the mountain. You will visit the famous Popa Taungkalat Monastery, which is a temple complex located on top of a huge rocky outcrop. The monastery is home to 37 nats (Burmese spirits), statues of which can be found at its base. If you have the energy, you can climb up the 777 steps to the monastery at the top. You will enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding plains and Mount Popa itself. After that, you will return to Bagan. On the way, stop by a local village to learn about the local culture and lifestyle. You will also visit a palm sugar workshop, to see how they cook the nectar from the trees into the sugar cubes. Today, you will leave for Heho by flight. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to the Inle Lake. Located in the highlands of northern Myanmar, Inle Lake is the second largest lake in the country. It is more than 970 meters above sea level and is surrounded by mountains on three sides. The lives of local people are centred on the lake. A boat is tied to the front door of every house here, and the locals have been trained to paddle with their feet since they were children. Here you can see the traditional fishing method of local people. You will also visit Phaung Daw Oo pagoda, the the most highly revered monastery in the Inle Lake area, and then continue your boat ride to the Nga Phe Chaung monastery, which is a beautiful wooden monastery built on stilts around 200 years ago over the lake. After that, move on to the floating garden called Kyun-Hmyaw, which was built-up from strips of water hyacinth and mud. Stay overnight in Inle Lake.

Today, you will have an excursion to Indein village by boat. It is a scenic 8-km boat ride through the Inn Thein creek. Indein village is famous for its market and two groups of pagodas: Nyaung Ohak and Shwe Inn Thein. You will first explore the Nyaung Ohak pagodas, which is just near the boating landing. Some of the pagodas here are well preserved, while others have plants and trees grow opening out of them. And many of them are decorated with sculptures of celestial beings and mythological animals. Then from Nyaung Ohak, a climb leads to the Shwe Inn Thein, the second group of pagodas. The site is thought to date back to the time of the Indian emperor Ashoka, who sent monks to spread Buddhism throughout Asia in the 3rd century BC. Here you can have a great view of Indein village and the surrounding area. Stay overnight in Inle Lake.

In the early morning, you will leave Inle Lake and transfer to Mandalay. Of all the ancient capitals in Myanmar's history, only Mandalay has been preserved intact. Here you can explore various Buddhist monuments and historical relics. You will first visit the Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Myanmar. Then visit the Mahagandayon Monastery, a monastic college located in Amarapura, to learn about the monks’ education. After that have your lunch in a local restaurant on the City Harbor Bridge. Then continue to visit the Sagaing Nunnery to learn about the daily life of the nuns, before driving to Sagaing Hill to appreciate the stunning overview from the top. Finally, you will head to visit the famous U Bein Bridge. Built in 1850, it is believed to be the oldest and (once) longest teak bridge in the world. You can take a boat trip on the Taungthaman Lake, and enjoy the amazing sunset view of the bridge. Stay overnight in Mandalay.

After breakfast, you will take a boat trip to the ancient Mingun city, which sits on the banks of the Irrawaddy River. Here you will explore the gigantic unfinished Mingun Pahtodawgyi, and the huge Minggun Bell, the second largest ringing bell in the world. Here in Mingun you will also visit the Settawya Pagoda, which is a small, whitewashed Buddhist temple constructed along classical Pagan lines. And then the Hsinbyume Pagoda, which is a beautiful white architecture designed to represent Mount Meru, the center of the universe in the Hindu and Buddhist mythology. After that, you will travel back to Mandalay to visit the Shwenandaw Kyaung, a historic Buddhist monastery located near Mandalay Hill. And the Kuthodaw Pagoda, which contains the world's largest book. Stay overnight in Mandalay.

In the morning, you can join in a T’ai Chi class on the deck of the Junk boat. The time before we leave for the train station is your free time. Today, you will first go to visit the famous Wat Si Saket, which is the oldest surviving temple in Vientiane. The temple was completed in 1818, and have a collection of more than 2,000 ceramic and silver Buddha images. Then move on to Haw Phra Kaew, also known as Hor Phra Keo, a former temple originally built to house the famed Emerald Buddha, and now is a used as a museum to displace Laos’ religious art collections. After that, you will continue to travel to the spectacular Patuxai Monument, which is the Laos’ version of the Arc de Triomphe, marking the independence of Laos from French colonial rule. In the afternoon, you will move on to Pha That Luang, a 45 meter high gold-covered Buddhist stupa and the national symbol of Laos. It is built in 16th century, and has a history of more than 450 years. The final visit of the day will be the COPE visitor centre. Laos is one of the most heavily bombed countries in the world. And the COPE visitor centre teach visitors to Laos about the rehabilitation process for people injured by unexploded ordnance hidden in the Lao countryside. Stay overnight in Vientiane.

Today you will spend a full day exploring the city of Luang Prabang. After breakfast, you will first visit the Royal Palace Museum, where you can see many interesting artifacts, such as traditional costumes, jewelry, ornaments, rare furniture, etc. Then, you will visit Wat Xieng Thong, which is the most famous and beautiful temple in Luang Prabang. Built-in 1560, the temple is a distillation of the ancient temple architecture style. Here, you can appreciate the classical Laotian aesthetics up close, from the roofs sweeping low to the ground to the gold pillars carved with patterns. After that, you will move on to the Wat Wisunarat Temple and Wat Aham with impressive stupas. In the afternoon, you will head to the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn more about Laos’ ethnic cultures and continue to visit the weaving villages of Ban Xiengkhong and Ban Xienglek. Later, you will get back to the city and visit Wat Mai before climbing up Mount Phousi. You will be indulged in the sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Before breakfast at the hotel, you will first partake in a Morning Alms (Sai Bat) on the street. Your morning will begin with a tour of Ta Prohm, a site wrapped in giant silk-cotton trees and strangler figs through which you'll feel like you're in a Tomb Raider setting. Then you will come to Banteay Kdei, a smaller version of Ta Prohm. You will go through the Victory Gate, Terrace of the Leper King, Royal Palace, Baphuon Temple, and Bayon Temple. Weaving and climbing through winding tunnels and secret chambers, you can experience the mystery of the land up close. After lunch, you'll have the whole afternoon to explore Angkor Wat, peering through the intricate and ancient stone carvings to see how it once flourished. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.
