You can apply for your Vietnam visa in advance of travel, using either the embassy, the online E-Visa, or the Vietnamese Visa-on-Arrival system, which still requires you to make the application well before you travel.
5. Can I travel to Vietnam right now?
You can travel to Vietnam now, as the COVID restrictions have been suspended indefinitely, allowing travel from any country in the world.
You will be required to download the PC-Covid mobile app, which must be presented at all establishments in Vietnam, and you need to ensure you have medical/travel insurance that covers COVID treatment with a minimum cover of US$10,000.00.
However, the requirements of COVID vaccination or RT-PCR testing prior to travel are no longer applicable.
6. Is it better to visit north or south Vietnam?
Both north and south Vietnam have their good points, and while they may be very different, they are both worth visiting, when you consider the attractions such as Saigon, the Mekong Delta, Hanoi, Halong Bay, and the Sapa Rice Terraces.
